Your adventure begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Arusha or Moshi, followed by a short 45-minute drive to Arusha National Park. Upon arrival, your guide will provide a briefing on the park’s unique ecosystems, wildlife, and activities before starting your safari experience.

Kick off the day with an exciting game drive through the park’s diverse landscapes, including lush rainforests, open savannahs, volcanic craters, and alkaline lakes. Unlike the Serengeti or Ngorongoro, Arusha National Park is smaller but incredibly rich in wildlife. You’ll see giraffes, zebras, warthogs, Cape buffalos, bushbucks, and blue monkeys. If you’re lucky, you might spot elephants, leopards, or the rare black-and-white colobus monkeys, which are commonly found in the park’s forests.

As you ascend towards the foothills of Mount Meru, you’ll be rewarded with stunning panoramic views, making this an excellent spot for photography.

Led by an armed ranger, this adventure allows you to explore the park on foot, getting up close to giraffes, antelopes, and smaller wildlife while learning about the park’s rich biodiversity.

For those interested in a unique water-based safari, you can opt for a canoeing excursion on Momella Lakes. This peaceful experience offers the chance to see hippos, flamingos, pelicans, and other water birds while paddling through the tranquil waters.

As the afternoon comes to an end, enjoy a final short game drive before leaving the park and heading back to Arusha or Moshi, arriving in the early evening.
